i don't like christmas so don't sing to me
singing can't help the world make harmony
most people can't even sing right in key
what they call christmas sounds like misery

carolers came to my door with their cheer
singing like they weren't able to hear
hurts like a worm eating into my ear
i'll set a trap for them same time next year

singing is not what we're needing more of
making more noise is like making bad love
"do you hear what i hear?" ringing above
i'll cut my ears off if push comes to shove

who are these christmas-folk singing about?
jesus and angels and some guy named claus
"peace upon earth" they keep shouting out loud
if i want peace then i can't leave the house

think of your neighbors if you can't sing well
i'll make the next guy eat his jingle bells
angels on high singing "the first noël"
if they come down they can go straight to hell
