early one morning after the bar
you were still drinking and you couldn't find my toilet in the dark
in the light of day i found my bed was wet
and you had nothing to say because i had no pet

you had a singing gig, the band was pretty known
but you said after we could leave and make some music of our own
you were nowhere to be found when you were through
you were in the bathroom and the bass player was in you

we had a break-up for a little while
so i was seeing other women just to have myself a smile
